"They said sex. We gotta turn it up" -Bri James

Well... i have 3 more miles under my feet, and two more pieces of cake busting behind my belt.

Last night, I packed and went to Bri's restaurant and got a yummy burger which Bri's wonderful mother paid for. I got home about 9:15. I laid on the couch, and fell asleep for about an hour an a half, texted Santa Megan, and fell asleep between 2 and 3. I was then awaken this morning at around 7:45 am by my sister asking me to meet them some place on campus at 8:15. So I moped and groaned and got ready, and went over there and drove over to where the race was supposed to start. There were SOOO MANY PEOPLE there!!! Holy cow! So we all packed in a street, and at the faint sound of a bullhorn (which I greatly appreciated over a gunshot) we were off.

I was a bimbo head and didn't stretch beforehand, so it didn't take long for my shin splints to flare up and for my legs to be very unhappy with me. I tried to stay with Kathy and Angie for the first mile, but they stopped and walked too much. I don't want that to be taken as the "Oh I am far too in shape to stop and walk with these people," but for some reason, walking hurt my legs way worse than jogging did, so after the first mile was over, I stopped walking and ran the rest for the sake of my legs. I passed up my sister and Angie, passed up DaJuan, (though I never caught Javon) and jogged into the football stadium triumphantly to the vocal stylings of Queen, singing "We are the Champions." I mean I was a champion of the world, so it was totally appropriate.

I met up with the others once they finished, and then we grabbed some delicious muffins, and headed out. We stopped by a store to get JD an MSU bball jersey for his birthday, got some panera, and went to my house. We ate our soup and showered, and I had a good talk with Kathy which was really nice because since I left for college and she went and got married and had a 16-year-old to take care of, we haven't had much time or opportunities for heart-to-hearts. After I got out of the shower, Mom and Dad were back from church, and soon after Kris and family and my grandma showed up. We ate lasagna, watched JD open Spartan-themed after Spartan-themed gifts, and ate some yummy cake. We watched Kathy and DaJuan's wedding video which a year later, still made me and my mother cry, and then everybody left in a rush. I went and got my laptop from the Mwakanandi's, who were on the way to Grand Rapids to fix her padiddle-status vehicle. I am very excited that I had a friend who was a padiddle. But now she's not. Shucks.

I drove back to campus, and have been hanging out around campus, mostly with Bri and Rae. Had some good bonding time with them : ) We went to meijers so I could get "snacks that I can eat." Bri is very quick to quote me on that. Stinker. And now, I am headed to bed far later than I had ever hoped. Reoccuring theme in my life. Oh well...

So. Final two weeks of school. I have SO much to do.

I am the little college sophomore that could.
I think I can I think I can...
