Popcorn, Prostitution and Library Lollygagging

First off, we have to start with a HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVIA MWAKANANDI!!!! She is twenty today : ) halfway to forty, as she often likes to remind me. She has been my best friend for I think about 15 of those 20 years, and even as we have parted paths and gone to different colleges, I feel as though our friendship only grows. There is nothing more I can ask of from a friendship : ) This girl is amazing. So way to be born I guess.

Nowwww for my Wednesday. Yesterday was the sports chapel, so I used my sixth and final skip and went with my roomies to the Wooden Spoon where Angie unknowingly got to treat us to cinnamon rolls and egg sandwiches. It was delicious, a lot of fun, and really a great way to start out a day. The reason Angie had to treat was because none of us realized that the Wooden Spoon doesn't take credit card, and Angie was the only one that brought cash. After that, Ang and I were dropped off at Whiteman Gibbs and went to Philosophy class. We watched a 40 minute documentary on Martin Luther King Jr, which I had a hard time keeping my eyelids open during. After that, I wasn't really ready for lunch, so I took a wonderful nap.

After my nap, I headed off to Popular Culture where we watched 3 presentations, which terrified me. This is one of the least clarified assignments I've had, and Patton hasn't seemed too happy with any of the presentations so far. Bri and I are having a hard time coming up with a cultural artifact as well. The first group that went yesterday got REAMED by Patton! I'm not sure that I've ever heard a teacher speak so harshly about a presentation group in front of the entire class like that. This does not inspire much confidence. After class Bri and I looked for artifacts, and went into Jackson to get some food and a couple other things, as well as Cold Stone : ) mmm.

I hit the library and put in about a page on my Human Rights paper until the library closed. I wish it was open later. I then went upstairs in Lowell, and ate some kettlecorn popcorn (my favorite kind) and worked in another page and half. To clarify the post title, my paper is on prostitution. So I ate popcorn while working on a paper on prostitution. I wasn't actually selling myself in the Lowell Lobby or anything. The computer lab closed at 1, so Bri and I headed back to the room, and I proofread one of her papers, and we went to bed around 3.

This morning, I went to International Human Rights which was pretty good, and then played ultimate frisbee in HPR lab, which was interesting to say the least. I met with Jeremy briefly to talk about my paper, and then hit up some Ada's. Now, I am here in the library, doing basically everything except my homework. Imagine how amazing my life could be if I actually had the ability to focus. Oh well.

Later today is the final choir class of this year, and once again possibly the last choir class I'll have with Livesay. We meet next year's director too, so that should be pretty exciting. Nothing else definitely on the itinerary except for more library time. Now to stop the lollygagging and see if we can get a couple more solid pages on this stinkin paper.

Peace and blessings
