So. Summaries of my day aren't so detailed anymore haha. But it's okay...
Today, I woke up at 1:40 and wasted a couple hours on the computer or playing instruments. I also made some scrambled eggs and toast, and then my mom came home from work. We ate leftovers from last night, and then my mom and i went to a card making class. It was a lot of fun, and the cards are super sweet too! I like spending time with my mom, even when I'm the only one under the age of 40 there, lol. After that, we got BK, and came home and watched tv. Such good family bonding, haha. All I can say right now is that Olivia is not coming home a day too soon. We also have the most incredible three weeks planned out. We've created a list with many wonderful items on it. I will even fill you in on said list. It is that amazing.
The Epic To-Do List of Olivia and Kelsey for Summer 2010
1. Goodwill Hunting (pun totally intended. But we're just gonna go to Goodwill, lol)
2. Bubble Island
3. Learn the Thriller Dance
4. Go out for Sushi. My first time ever. Well at least where I actually eat the sushi by personal desire versus bribery
5. Watch Dawson's Creek. Hopefully it's as good as Life as We Know It :)
6. Play Tennis
7. Make a cake from scratch
8. Play at Homegrown
9. Make a music video
10. Make guac and condensed milk. She says it's really good
11. Go out for Thai food
12. Get Jaritos Mexican Soda
13. Go to the beach
14. Mommy Daughter date
15. Have a sleepover with Kacie and JD
16. Garden
17. Exchange birthday presents
18. Sit on the roof
19. Burn our school notes
20. Bonfire at Olivia's house with blanket talk stargazing afterwards (probably combined with #19)
21. Eat Mwakanandi grill food. It's soooooo good
22. Watch movies
23. Visit Adelyn (probably combined with #13)
24. Dress up date (probably combined with #23, in turn combined with #13)
And that's it. But that's seriously, basically amazing. You should probably be jealous. Nothing like some good best frand time :) :) :) It's gonna be a good time

Summer Time and the Livin's Easy...
Well, all went as planned. Almost. I finished that crazy paper, finished the journals, and studied a little bit and went to bed at 6:30. I woke up around 11:30 am wednesday, and studied a bit. Then, conveniently, 15 minutes before we were supposed to give our presentation, I misplaced the flashdrive that had the powerpoint on it. It worked out okay, though, cuz we ended up just doing it for Patton on Friday morning. And totally aced it. But yeah. The pop culture exam took me OVER TWO HOURS!!!! It was ridiculous. But then I WAS DONE :) basically.
Wednesday night, we had our last Roomie date, and went to Applebees which was a lot of fun. Angie and I took some crazy pictures, and Bri spewed her strawberry drink at me. That's about all I remember.
Thursday, Madee and Angie left, and I cried, and my mom came down and helped me pack up the first load to go home. Then, Thursday night, I stayed up wayyy too late playing Up Jack Down Jack with Rae and her friends. Friday morning came way too quickly, and Bri and I rocked our pop culture presentation. We had timed it previously and it took 20 min, but when we did it for Patton it took an hour because he interupted and inputted after EVERY SINGLE POINT! But we got an A+, so I'd say it was worth it. After that, we went to lunch with Bri's mom and sister, and then proceeded to work hard to pack, get stuff out, move furniure, and vacuum. We left around 6, and then i came home, ate like half a pizza, and laid on the couch, only to fall asleep for 4 hours, and then go to bed and sleep for another 12.
Saturday, I basically did NOTHING all day. It was AMAZING. And today was roughly the same, except i went to La Senoritas with my family and got yummy Mexican. And that is what has happened since Tuesday.
This past year has been something interesting. Honestly, it was one of my least favorite years of my life, but it was one of those necessary years. It was really challenging and one of those learning, transitional years. I probably cried more this year than just about every other year of my life, but I still am a little sad it's over. A lot of good happened this year and I met some really cool people that my life definitely would not be the same without. I don't want to go too deep into this but yeah. I was so glad for this year to be over, but now that it is, i still miss it a little? Does that make any sense? Idk. but anyways.
That's all for this post. Hope everyone's enjoying their summers so far! I'm gonna watch John Tucker Must Die and go to bed.
Card making with my mom tomorrow night :) should be fun. And Livia gets home Tuesday YAY!!! and boy do we have an exciting list of things to do before camp!

Celebrate the Small Victories
That is what my dove chocolate told me yesterday. Couldn't have come at a better time. I feel pretty certain that this has been my worst exam week ever. I don't think I've ever had so much due at the same time, and it has been nothing short, honestly quite more than overwhelming.
My list is SLOWLY dwindling. All things Philosophy and Marriage and Family are finished (and I can only begin to convey how absolutely ridiculous that M&F exam was. Good God have mercy on my GPA!) Unfortunately, the majority still has to be checked off within the next 13 hours. I'm almost done with my human rights paper, and then I have to do the journals, and then I'll read over the pop culture study guide that Bri is so kindly preparing as we, uh, type, a couple times, and then call it a day. Then tomorrow, I turn in this beast of a paper, present my beast of a presentation, turn in my stupid journals, and take my Pop Culture Exam. Ooo de lolly, ooo de lolly golly what a day! But after that, all I'll have left will be my HPR exam on Friday, which should be no sweat. So far, my victories have seemed small in comparison to what lies ahead, but by this time tomorrow, my summer will basically have come. Also, reflecting on what's already done does ease my heavy chest a little.
It's been a rough week. Everyone's snippy, definitely myself included, and I am far past my eyebrows in things to do. For right now, all I can do is know that I've done the best I can, and hope for the best. What's done is done, and there wasn't much else I could do. So good luck on everyone studying for exams and working on final papers/projects/etc right now, and to everyone else who's already on summer break, I hate you. Just kidding. But seriously...

This is Stupid
Well I really shouldn't post. I really should go to bed. But there's not much to say.
Friday:
Thursday night, I stayed in the library a little more, and then went to the end of the year bash thing. I think my school thinks that if they show us a dumb kid movie, we'll forget that we're college kids watching a dumb kid movie if they turn it up really loud. It was ridiculously loud. i think my grandmother could probably hear it. Rae, Bri and I had a sleepover. I skipped Philosophy friday (its okay, it was optional anyway) and then did some stuff that i dont really remember anymore. Our soccer game got cancelled which was sad. Rae, Bri and me went to Denny's around 10:30, and then I played Apples to Apples with Joe, Rae, Aaron, and Bri. Then went to bed.
Saturday:
Literally, got dragged out of my bed this morning, courtesy of RaeLee Rogers, and then went to a dumb volleyball game that ended up being forfeited anyway. Ate brunch, took a short nap, and played a real volleyball game, which we won. Then we played again and got MASSACRED. It was actually kind of funny how bad we looked. After that, I worked on some homework, went to Lowell Worship practice, and watched the "I Gotta Feeling" music video about 15 times. Which was actually doing homework. Odd. I know. Went to Taco Bell, played more apples to apples, and did more homework. Tomorrow, what will I be doing? More homework. YAY FINALS WEEK!!!
Here's the updated list. x means finished, / means partially/mostly finished, and --means untouched.
Things to do:
/-Popular Culture Presentation (Monday)
--Philosophy Exam (Monday)
x-Marriage and Family Paper (Tuesday)
x-HPR Paper (Tuesday)
--Marriage and Family Exam (Tuesday)
/-International Human Rights Paper (Wednesday)

Popcorn, Prostitution and Library Lollygagging
First off, we have to start with a HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVIA MWAKANANDI!!!! She is twenty today : ) halfway to forty, as she often likes to remind me. She has been my best friend for I think about 15 of those 20 years, and even as we have parted paths and gone to different colleges, I feel as though our friendship only grows. There is nothing more I can ask of from a friendship : ) This girl is amazing. So way to be born I guess.
Nowwww for my Wednesday. Yesterday was the sports chapel, so I used my sixth and final skip and went with my roomies to the Wooden Spoon where Angie unknowingly got to treat us to cinnamon rolls and egg sandwiches. It was delicious, a lot of fun, and really a great way to start out a day. The reason Angie had to treat was because none of us realized that the Wooden Spoon doesn't take credit card, and Angie was the only one that brought cash. After that, Ang and I were dropped off at Whiteman Gibbs and went to Philosophy class. We watched a 40 minute documentary on Martin Luther King Jr, which I had a hard time keeping my eyelids open during. After that, I wasn't really ready for lunch, so I took a wonderful nap.
After my nap, I headed off to Popular Culture where we watched 3 presentations, which terrified me. This is one of the least clarified assignments I've had, and Patton hasn't seemed too happy with any of the presentations so far. Bri and I are having a hard time coming up with a cultural artifact as well. The first group that went yesterday got REAMED by Patton! I'm not sure that I've ever heard a teacher speak so harshly about a presentation group in front of the entire class like that. This does not inspire much confidence. After class Bri and I looked for artifacts, and went into Jackson to get some food and a couple other things, as well as Cold Stone : ) mmm.
I hit the library and put in about a page on my Human Rights paper until the library closed. I wish it was open later. I then went upstairs in Lowell, and ate some kettlecorn popcorn (my favorite kind) and worked in another page and half. To clarify the post title, my paper is on prostitution. So I ate popcorn while working on a paper on prostitution. I wasn't actually selling myself in the Lowell Lobby or anything. The computer lab closed at 1, so Bri and I headed back to the room, and I proofread one of her papers, and we went to bed around 3.
This morning, I went to International Human Rights which was pretty good, and then played ultimate frisbee in HPR lab, which was interesting to say the least. I met with Jeremy briefly to talk about my paper, and then hit up some Ada's. Now, I am here in the library, doing basically everything except my homework. Imagine how amazing my life could be if I actually had the ability to focus. Oh well.
Later today is the final choir class of this year, and once again possibly the last choir class I'll have with Livesay. We meet next year's director too, so that should be pretty exciting. Nothing else definitely on the itinerary except for more library time. Now to stop the lollygagging and see if we can get a couple more solid pages on this stinkin paper.
Peace and blessings

Night Brings its Wetness to Beaches in Your Soul
Ooooooooooh my gooooooooooooosh! (said as Britany-Miller-Aunt-Sue-impression-ish as possible)
Well let's see. I didn't blog yesterday. As far as I can remember, there wasn't much to blog about. It was a fairly typical Monday. I guess we did have talents for Christ chapel which was *ahem* interesting. Some acts were really great. Others were *ahem* interesting. It was enjoyable for the most part anyway. Then I had philosophy class, went to Ada's, tried to take a nap while watching Anchorman, went to Pop Culure, watched some presentations, went to choir... all pretty normal. Ate dinner, talked to Stout, ya know. Pretty regular. Then I stole Megan's ladybug, which, unbeknownst to me, was actually a pretty big deal. I guess his name is Velmer, and he is her homework and bed companion. I didn't even hide him that well. Well I also accidentally locked her out of her room. And I swear it was an accident. But it was quite the ordeal. After that all went down, I went in Tammera and Jessie's room and chatted with them for a bit, talked to Heidi in the lobby, and went to Rae's room and watched Elf. That was my Monday in a nutshell.
Hoy es Martes.
Today, however, was not my typical hellish Tuesday. Not in the same sense anyway. We had International Human Rights. We didn't watch any disturbing movies so hopefully I'll actually be able to sleep this week. Jeremy didn't make much sense. I didn't even know how to BS an answer when he asked me a question. HPR was cancelled today. At least I hope it was. I'm pretty sure that's what she said. So that was nice : ) we had a sort of roommate date. I successfully got 2, almost 3 pieces of corn on Madee's shoulder without her noticing. Is it sad that I have some sense of accomplishment from that?
After lunch, I went upstairs into the computer lounge and watched "Robin Hood: Men In Tights" while I worked on a paper. I've gotta be honest, that's probably one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. I remember, we watched it on the bus on choir tour last year, and I thought it was pretty ridiculous then too. I also remember feeling kind of weirded out when Dr.Livesay laughed at certain parts, such as the chastity belt, and when he's singing to the girl behind the sheet and his sword looks like a certain male part. And oddly enough, it's directed and written by Mel Gibson? The same guy who wrote and directed The Passion? That just doesn't seem all right to me. Oh well. I endured, and then came back and worked on a summer playlist and went to choir. After choir, I had my Dinner Date with Doof (Jessica Clarke.) I came back, showered, had Bri straighten my hair, and ran off to White Auditorium for our choir concert tonight, which was a pleasant alternative to my normal night class. Seriously, whoever thought of having night classes was a nincompoop. It really just isn't a good idea. At all.
The concert went pretty well. I think spring concert is generally one of my favorites. He tends to pick songs that I actually somewhat like for that concert. Not that I hate all the others, but he picked some good ones. I even got choked up during "For the Sake of the Children." So did my mom. And, it may be safe to say that it was the last concert I had under the direction of Chuck Livesay. WOOHOO!!!!! Afterwards, me and my parents, Grandma, and Bri went out for ice cream at McDonald's. My mother told my dad he was a cheap date because he had taken out 4 girls for under $6. I came back to the room, and have been pretending to work on homework, when in reality, I played a little bubbleshooter, watched an hour and a half of Bones, and have made more playlists for this summer. I worked on a paper for MAYBE 15 minutes.
This time of the year is one of my least favorite. It's so nice out, I've been at it for months, plus this is the last week and a half to see some of my friends for a few months, and I really don't feel like doing anything at all, but I have SO much to do! It's really quite the dilemna. Maybe if I make an official list on my blog, I'll be motivated to write about accomplishing some of the stuff/feel guilty and like a slacker if I don't.

"They said sex. We gotta turn it up" -Bri James
Well... i have 3 more miles under my feet, and two more pieces of cake busting behind my belt.
Last night, I packed and went to Bri's restaurant and got a yummy burger which Bri's wonderful mother paid for. I got home about 9:15. I laid on the couch, and fell asleep for about an hour an a half, texted Santa Megan, and fell asleep between 2 and 3. I was then awaken this morning at around 7:45 am by my sister asking me to meet them some place on campus at 8:15. So I moped and groaned and got ready, and went over there and drove over to where the race was supposed to start. There were SOOO MANY PEOPLE there!!! Holy cow! So we all packed in a street, and at the faint sound of a bullhorn (which I greatly appreciated over a gunshot) we were off.
I was a bimbo head and didn't stretch beforehand, so it didn't take long for my shin splints to flare up and for my legs to be very unhappy with me. I tried to stay with Kathy and Angie for the first mile, but they stopped and walked too much. I don't want that to be taken as the "Oh I am far too in shape to stop and walk with these people," but for some reason, walking hurt my legs way worse than jogging did, so after the first mile was over, I stopped walking and ran the rest for the sake of my legs. I passed up my sister and Angie, passed up DaJuan, (though I never caught Javon) and jogged into the football stadium triumphantly to the vocal stylings of Queen, singing "We are the Champions." I mean I was a champion of the world, so it was totally appropriate.
I met up with the others once they finished, and then we grabbed some delicious muffins, and headed out. We stopped by a store to get JD an MSU bball jersey for his birthday, got some panera, and went to my house. We ate our soup and showered, and I had a good talk with Kathy which was really nice because since I left for college and she went and got married and had a 16-year-old to take care of, we haven't had much time or opportunities for heart-to-hearts. After I got out of the shower, Mom and Dad were back from church, and soon after Kris and family and my grandma showed up. We ate lasagna, watched JD open Spartan-themed after Spartan-themed gifts, and ate some yummy cake. We watched Kathy and DaJuan's wedding video which a year later, still made me and my mother cry, and then everybody left in a rush. I went and got my laptop from the Mwakanandi's, who were on the way to Grand Rapids to fix her padiddle-status vehicle. I am very excited that I had a friend who was a padiddle. But now she's not. Shucks.
I drove back to campus, and have been hanging out around campus, mostly with Bri and Rae. Had some good bonding time with them : ) We went to meijers so I could get "snacks that I can eat." Bri is very quick to quote me on that. Stinker. And now, I am headed to bed far later than I had ever hoped. Reoccuring theme in my life. Oh well...
So. Final two weeks of school. I have SO much to do.
I am the little college sophomore that could.
I think I can I think I can...
Shucks.
